Award-Winning Contemporary Impressionist

Lorraine Skelskey-Chapin is an award-winning fine artist and instructor who lives and paints in Southbury, Connecticut. Her work hangs atThe Finer Line Galleryin Mystic and at Studio Hill, and she shows regularly with theLyme Art Association, where she is an Associate Artist and took an Award of Merit at Paint the Town in 2025.

“My mission is to reflect the spirituality and beauty found in nature, capturing the light on the dunes, the sparkle on the ocean, and colors that burst in the Spring.”

Her paintings are primarily impressionistic landscapes and gardens painted en plein air, in oil and acrylic. She also teachesweekly painting classes in Southbury and takescommissions.
